Everybody Got an Opinion — But Everybody Ain’t Qualified
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Everybody has a microphone now. Everybody has an opinion. But that doesn’t mean everybody understands what they’re talking about.
On this episode of the Concrete Genius Podcast, Sauce MacKenzie goes from basketball to culture, relationships, manhood and family — with no shortage of opinions along the way.
First up: Angel Reese. The criticism surrounding her missed layups has become bigger than basketball. Yes, she needs to improve her finishing, but reducing a player’s entire impact to one weakness ignores rebounding, passing, defense, physicality and everything else that affects winning.
Then the conversation turns to Stephen A. Smith and the NABJ. If protecting Black women is the standard, should that standard extend beyond political commentary and include how women are treated throughout sports, entertainment, business and media?
From there, Sauce discusses Jay-Z and Charlamagne Tha God, protecting hip-hop’s cultural icons, and why successful Black figures often become targets as their influence grows.
Then we switch gears.
Men: it’s time to level up.
Grooming. Fitness. Diet. Confidence. Relationships. Taking care of yourself. Appreciating a good woman. Removing negative people from your circle. Becoming somebody you barely recognize 12 months from now.
The episode closes with a provocative conversation about fatherhood, absent fathers and whether children always receive the complete story about why their parents separated.
Sports. Culture. Relationships. Manhood. Growth.
